Collection: Krisnick - Chalkware Folk Art

Each of our wonderful chalkware pieces by Krisnick is sculpted, baked and painted before they are stained and have added embellishments to complete the process of creating truly unique folk art.

Tom Panetta, the artist behind Krisnick, has been making these handcrafted pieces for over 30 years. Known for his Santa and Snowman designs, Tom also makes all types of seasonal decor including Halloween, Easter and Patriotic creations.

Each original piece is hand sculpted one at a time out of an old fashioned sculpting compound consisting of clay, paper, and plaster. Then each piece is hand painted and finished in a five step antiquing process.
